How to Cook a Flank Steak
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Mix the marinade in a bowl by combining the oil, ginger, soy sauce, garlic salt, honey, green onions and white vinegar. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
2
Cut lines across the flank steak 1/4-inch deep. Make the scores about 1 inch apart and run them against the grain of the meat.
3
Place the flank steak in a 1-gallon plastic zip-top bag. Pour the marinade into the bag with the steak. Place the bag into the refrigerator and let marinate overnight.
4
Oil the grill racks using a rag. Heat the grill to high temperatures using direct heat.
5
Remove the steak from the marinade. Sprinkle both sides of the steak with coarse salt and black pepper. Place the steak on the hot grill. Grill each side of the steak for approximately four to six minutes.
6
Remove the flank steak from the grill and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
