NATURAL EYESIGHT IMPROVEMENT Upon searching for articles about eyesight, I found more than a million references.
Why? Maintaining good eyesight is vital to our life experience.
Seeing is such an important part of being.
How can we maintain good eyesight for a lifetime? We exercise our body but most are not aware of natural eye exercises.
In our modern world, staring at the computer is one way that we damage our sight.
Most people, when using the computer, stare and do not allow their eyes to blink.
Blinking is important since it brings tears into the eyes.
Dryness contributes to eye diseases including Glaucoma, one of the leading causes of blindness.
Taking the time daily to do simple eye exercises will help maintain good eyesight.
Looking at something up close and then looking far away is one way to help your eyes.
Rotating your eyes or watching your finger as you move it back and forth, up and down and from side to side is another powerful eye exercise.
Palming, that is, closing your eyes and placing your palms over your eyes, is very relaxing and an excellent way to relax tired eyes after computer use.
Using Pinhole Glasses can reduce eye strain especially when using the computer.
We know the brain requires oxygen because we feel tired and sluggish when we don't get sufficient exercise.
However, the eyes require oxygen too.
Try reading various sizes of small print (without glasses) and notice what you can read before an exercise session.
Then see if it is easier to read the small print after you have had a good workout.
Usually, there will be an improvement in your vision even after a short exercise session.
It is also important to monitor the foods that you eat.
Food allergies or sensitivities to certain foods will affect your vision sometimes causing severe headaches.
The most common food allergies are wheat, all dairy products which includes cheese and yoghurt, caffeine, sugar, soy, and, of course, soft drinks which are packed with sugar.
Puffy eyes are often caused by an allergic reaction to dairy products.
If you experience constant sugar cravings, you could be dealing with a disorder called Candida Albicans.
To rid yourself of Candida, you can find a cleanse at most health food stores or starve the Candida by eliminating sugar and the foods mentioned above.
Keeping your eyesight healthy will help you in all areas of your life since what you do for your eyes will strengthen your whole body! SUNNING: Two to five minutes daily-twice a day is better.
Remove glasses or contacts.
Do not do through window panes.
Close your eyes, raise your face to the sun and move your head slowly from side to side as far as you can in either direction.
Gently massage around your eyes to prevent frowning and squinting.
Then turn your face away from the sun and palm.
This exercise teaches the eye to accept strong light without resisting and creating tension and adjusts the eye to different intensities of light.
This is particularly important for those who are beginning to experience problems with night driving and problems reading in low light such as menus at restaurants.
PALMING: Do for three to five minutes or longer for the relaxing effects.
Rub your hands together to warm them.
Close your eyes.
Gently cover them with your cupped hands without pressing on your eyes (the heel of each hand rests on the cheekbone).
Breathe deeply and slowly.
It is best to position yourself at a table with your elbows on a small pillow.
Get comfortable and use this time to be peaceful, meditate or listen to soft music.
If you are outside, after sunning, just turn away from the sun and place your palms over your eyes in a standing position.
The optic nerve is quieted when you see blackness.
Visualize blackness until you actually see blackness when you palm.
