We are very fortunate enough that we are given a perfect body.
We are grateful that we have hands that lets us feel and hold things, feet that takes us to our destination, ears that enables us to listen and perceive sound, nose that makes us breathe for fresh air, mouth that gives us the ability to speak and taste food, and a set of eyes that lets us see the beauty of this world.
We should learn to value this God given gifts and learn to take care of them properly because if we won't, these gifts will be taken away from us.
All organs of the body have their own specific role.
They work hard just so we could do our task efficiently.
But among the many organs of the body, it is the eyes that work hard just so we can do all the tasks without any delay.
Our eyes are just like the laser light of the tazer gun which is used to give a good aim towards the target.
Our eyes can focus well and adjusts in any light accommodation.
Do you possibly think that you can do things easily without having perfect vision on the things around you? Definitely not right.
Our eyes may also get affected with several diseases.
We will explore the different and the three most common eye disorders that way you will be able to have a brief background about it and also for you to know how to properly take care of your eyes.
Cataract is one of the eye disorders that need attention.
Cataract is a form of disease wherein there is clouding or opacity of the lens in our eyes.
Age is considered to be a major factor as to why the disease happens.
Treatment of this disease is through undergoing cataract surgery.
It is done in the outpatient department of the hospital since the surgery will not last long.
Retinal detachment is another eye disorder.
This can result from a blow to the head, fluid accumulation in the subretinal space, or the aging process.
This condition is known to be pain free.
The client may only feel a few symptoms such as blurred vision, flashes of light, visual floaters and a veil-like loss of vision.
Surgical management is one of the best treatments of the disease.
Glaucoma is another eye disorder.
It refers to a group of diseases which results in an increase intraocular pressure.
The symptoms include having tired eyes, diminished peripheral vision, seeing halos around lights, increased intraocular pressure, sudden pain, nausea and vomiting.
Surgical management is required when medications fail to control the symptoms.
Laser is used to create a hole and drain the excess fluid.
Management or the treatment of the three eye disorders mentioned above are considered to be effective.
Post-operative management includes avoid lifting of heavy weights, being stressed, and to sleep on the nonoperative side.
There will be a numbing sensation just like the effects of the zap stun guns when used to stun attackers.
The patients are also instructed to report any bleeding, pain, and the proper administration of eye medication.
We should all learn to take care of our eyes because without it, it will be very hard to do things effectively.
Eating nutritious fruits and vegetables will greatly help in keeping our eyes nourished.
