Inspirational Tours in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Are you looking for an inspirational tour while in Vung Tau, Vietnam? You will be happy to know you will have many opportunities to be inspired during your visit to Vung Tau. Following are just some things that inspire me about what I see on a daily basis in Vung Tau.
The natural beauty can still (after five years of living here) take my breath away. Not long ago I was motorcycling in the back blocks of Long Son. I rounded a corner and a natural pond at the edge of the road was covered in flowering lotus. I had to stop and enjoy the beauty. I might have been the only person on the planet and I remember thinking that I could be in an old Chinese painting.
Tourists to Vung Tau should make an effort to get to Back Beach as the sun is rising. Low tide magnifies the beauty of this part of Vung Tau. You will get some magnificent photos of vast expanses of beach with the sun reflecting off the water. Because Vung Tau has coastline nearly all the way round, you can also enjoy watching the sun sink into the South China Sea at sunset. From The Point (where Back Beach starts near the large Jesus statue) it is possible to watch the sun rise out of the ocean and the sun set into the ocean. It is really quite unique and memorable.
Make a point of going up at least one of the mountains to take in the view. Whichever way your look you will be inspired. The north east view along Back Beach allows you to see right up to Long Hai and Long Tan. A north western view opens up to Long Son and the river country. A little further around to the west is the mouth of the Saigon River with its many tributaries and fingers.
Another way to be inspired by the beauty of Vung Tau is simply to wander through the streets looking for flowers. The old frangipani trees planted by the French (bought over from South America by Captain Bougainville) are stunning. Of course, another of the captain's imports, the Bougainvillea, frames many old villa gates. If you are interested in exotic flora, make sure to wander through some of the temples that line Halong Road (the coast road near the ferry terminal), they have some of the strangest fruit bearing trees I have ever seen.
Why not combine the natural beauty of Vung Tau's coastline with Vung Tau's famed seafood? Sit only meters from the lapping waves and eat, drink and relax to your heart's content. Can life get any better than this? Maybe it can. Head out to beautiful Long Son and have a seafood feast on one of the many floating restaurants tethered in the peaceful, picturesque fingers of the Saigon River.
Enjoy your visit to Vung Tau. You will find many things to inspire you.
