It is that time of the year again where in we prepare delicious foods, attend party after party and eating all different kinds of foods and drinking all kinds of beverages.
Then when the holiday season ends we whine about the weight we gain from all the eating and drinking.
Well, it has been a tradition for all of us to eat and be merry during the holidays but you can avoid gaining extra pounds through quick ways to stay fit this holiday.
If you think that this is impossible to achieve.
it isn't.
There is nothing impossible when you are determined to achieve your goal.
I am not saying that you will not gain even half a pound but you can reduce or minimize it.
So, one of the quick ways to stay fit this holiday is to eat your healthy meal at home before attending any party.
This will lessen your cravings when you are presented with the buffet table.
Another thing that must be avoided or taken in small quantity are alcoholic beverages.
In every party there will always be drinks and beers and mixed beverages such as margaritas contains high amounts of calories.
When it comes to drinking it's all about control and discipline.
You can choose a wine instead and take sips and do not consume it in one go.
If you on the other hand will be throwing a party be sure to make healthy choices.
There are ingredients that contains lesser amounts of calories and fats and they are all over the grocery.
There are also an abundant supply of organic foods that you can be used to make your main course.
If you serve meat then make sure to serve an appetizing vegetable dish beside it.
When you serve sweets make sure to serve fresh juices and fruits too.
Here is a trick when serving desserts, instead of serving the cake, cookies and all those sugary-sweet desserts serve the fruits first either plain or with some dressing.
So while you are preparing the other sweets or desserts you and your guests have already taken a bite or two of the fruit dessert.
Fruits makes us easily full so by the time you serve the sweets you and your guests won't have to eat all of it.
But of course, serve different kinds of dishes and desserts in equal proportion because you do not want the food to go to waste.
