    Boron

    • Boron helps protect men from developing prostate cancer. MensHealth.com says, "Men with the highest boron intakes are 65 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer than men with lower levels." Along with its cancer-fighting benefits, boron can improve concentration and memory. The USDA suggests that men take 3 milligrams of boron a day. If you cannot find boron supplements, you can get it naturally in raisins and almonds.

    Chromium

    • Men most often use chromium to build muscles, but it also helps ward off diabetes. Richard Anderson, Ph.D., a researcher with the USDA, is quoted by MensHealth.com as saying, "taking chromium is one of the best things you can do to help keep insulin levels where they belong." Men should take 35 micrograms of chromium a day.

    Coenzyme Q10

    • Coenzyme Q10 helps boost a man's energy by helping the body's cells manage their energy supply. MensFitness.com lists other benefits of Coenzyme Q10 saying, "Coenzyme Q10 is a disease-fighting antioxidant and has been used in the treatment of neurological diseases and may...be beneficial in cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure and migraine headache treatment." The recommended dosage is 100 micrograms daily.

    Vitamin E

    • Vitamin E slows the effects of aging in men. Vitamin E can help ward off certain diseases that are often associated with aging, including Alzheimer's, cancer, heart disease and eye diseases. It also helps repair muscle damage exercises cause. Vitamin E can be found in natural and synthetic forms. The natural form known as d-alpha tocopherol is easier for the body to use and thus more effective. The recommended dosage is 400 international units a day.
