Domestic Cats Picture Gallery: Angel and Fredalin
This is a photo of Angel (tuxedo) and Fredalin (tabby). Someone had thrown a litter of kittens in a dumpster next to our home. We rescued Fredalin when she was two days old from that dumpster on a very rainy evening. My husband climbed in with a flashlight and didn't stop looking until we found her. She is a treasure and brings much joy to our lives. Angel was dropped off at a local pet store; she had been in an accident with a fan at her previous [home] and had an infected tail and one of her ears damaged.
We adopted her at four months from our vet who had taken her in and nursed her back to health. Angel also brings us much joy. Both Angel and Fredalin are living miracles, both had the odds stacked against them and both have grown to be happy, healthy cats. I know everyone thinks their cats our special but to me Angel and Fredalin are living proof of what love and kindness can accomplish.
Fredalin acts as the neighborhood mascot. She is used to a leash and harness (as she grew up with our three dogs) and sits by my husband every evening as he gardens and enjoys the evening breeze, the birds and the butterflies. Invariably one of the neighborhood kids stop by to visit her. They ask questions like why does she have those tags, what does she eat, where does she sleep etc. We take the opportunity to educate them on the proper way to treat a cat. We live on Guam and there is a lot of education that needs to be done about the commitment that a pet deserves. A safe home, spay/neuter, clean water, good food, vaccinations.
Fredalin helps teach them these things and in the process we hope helps other cats/dogs out there to have a better chance.
We would be honored if you would feature our kids as we truly believe they are living miracles and we are very blessed to have them in our lives.
