We are all feeling the pinch of the economy and finding clever ways to save is really important.
In any household there are items in your monthly budget that you simply cannot exclude.
These essentials are fixed and is not a luxury in any way.
We can all cut on luxuries but we cannot cut on essentials.
Your power bill is one of those essentials that you cannot cut costs on, but what if you could? What if you cut half your monthly power bill without compromising on your quality of life? What if you can not only cut your bill in half but help save the planet in the process? Well, its definitely possible.
In fact, many people are already doing it and many have reduced their power bills by as much as 90%.
So,how can you do it? Well, there are a number of ways you can do it but my strategy is very simple and it really works.
It consists of 2 simple steps.
1.
Hot Water One of the biggest energy guzzlers in any home is hot water.
If a family of 4 take 1 bath or shower every day then its a huge strain on your hot water supply.
Heating water takes a lot of energy and if you can somehow cut this down you can save a huge chunk off your power consumption.
Fortunately there is a simple way to do this.
You can install a hot water system in your home and its as simple as laying some pipes on your roof.
This will allow the water to heat up from the sun and even during the winter you can save 50% off heating water by having the sun do all the hard work for you.
2.
Wind And Solar In some ways solar power has been over hyped but the simple fact remains that its a great power source that we can utilize domestically to yield a lot of energy.
By just installing a few solar panels on your roof you can generate more than enough energy to power your entire home.
Similarly you can utilize wind power.
By installing a wind turbine on your roof you can generate a lot of power and combined with solar panels it can be the answer to cut as much as 90% off your power bills.
Each one of these 2 strategies can cut your power bills in half but by combining them you create a robust system.
Best of all, this is clean energy and will significantly reduce your carbon footprint.
Not only is this a great way to save money but its a great way to be responsible and to do your bit for keeping the planet clean.
