IFOR
Definition:
A shortened version of the term Implementation Force, IFOR was a NATO led military group sent into Bosnia-Hercegovina and Croatia at the end of 1995 to help enforce the Dayton Accords, which bought peace to the war torn region. IFOR’s mandate was for a year, and a smaller NATO force called SFOR / Stabilization Force replaced it at the end of 1996.
