How to Increase Pixel Count in Photoshop

    • 1). Click the "Image" tab in the upper left-hand corner of Photoshop's command bar.

    • 2). Select "Image Size" from the drop-down menu of the "Image" tab.

    • 3). Select the "Resolution" box and set it to "Pixels/inch" or "Pixels/cm" to your preference.

    • 4). Highlight the text box adjacent to "Resolution," which should already have a number equal to your current pixel ratio in it, by clicking and dragging your cursor over the numbers. Hit the "Backspace" key on your keyboard to clear out this number.

    • 5). Type in your desired new pixel ratio and click "OK." The image now auto-adjusts to the new resolution.
