Many people can't tell the difference between love and infatuation.
They met somebody they are attracted to and believe feel they are in love.
They just trust their feelings and give everything they can to nurture their relationship.
What is love? What is infatuation? Infatuation and love feels the same.
Everything is divine and seems magical as if someone has cast a spell on you.
Infatuation is based on physical attraction and a person's status, power, or physical form.
It is an instant desire and sexual interest on another person.
It is about passion, and it lacks commitment, trust, security, and loyalty and it is usually short term.
You are infatuated when you feel excitement but not happiness, you feel jealous, insecure, impatient, and lust.
It is all about the rush and the intense thrill of being with the person but the moment that you feel that you have fallen out of love it is where infatuation ends and love begins.
It will pass to the next stage which is not exciting but is replaced with a feeling of security and completeness which is both comforting and loving.
Real love means acceptance of another person with all its flaws and letting go of all pretense, fantasy, and expectation that your partner is perfect.
Love is a pure feeling and is not about physical attraction.
You love the person will all your heart, mind, body, and spirit.
A relationship built on love is meant to last.
Love is unselfish and people in love are compassionate and considerate.
Love is real and accepts all imperfections.
It brings out the best in people and helps them become mature.
Love is built on trust and not jealously or insecurity.
People in love share enjoy each other's company and rely on each other during tough times.
They invest in long term commitments and decide to grow old together.
It is about give and take and couples have common goals and dreams.
Love starts from friendship and slowly grows into full bloom.
While there is no sure-fire ways to decipher your feelings for someone, there are certain ways to determine whether it's love or infatuation.
Here are other tips to differentiate love and infatuation: 1.
If you are in love, you care for the other person's feelings and you only think about him/her.

If you love the person, you admit that they have flaws and you accept them for it.

You are in love you are ready to commit with only one person and have the desire to spend your life with him/her.

If you go out with the person because of his looks, then you are not in love 5.
It is love if you can be happy by just being alone with the person and spend time with him without doing anything sexual.

If you find yourself being attracted to others or possibly engage on a fling, you are definitely not in love.

If all you do is fight, criticize, or hurt one another, then you might not be in love.

If you can't share your secret or dreams with each other, then what you have is not love 9.
If you can't trust one another and you always feel insecure and jealous, then it is not love 10.
If you only think about yourself and not consider the other person's feelings, then it is not love.
While infatuation limits your feelings to attraction, love will make you grow in every way and it brings a feeling of comfort when you think of the other person and that feeling will make you stronger as it increases your confidence in yourself to be the person that you want to be.
