How to Make a Video Slideshow on Flickr
- 1). Organize the photos you want users to view as a slideshow into a "Set." Open the Flickr "Organizr" by clicking the "All Your Content" option from the "Organize & Create" menu. Drag the photos you want to add to your new set into the "Batch" window. Click the "Add to Set" menu and select the "New" option, making sure to give your set a name and description. Click "Create Set."
- 2). Order the photos as you want them to display in the slideshow. If your set is event-based -- a wedding, for example -- click the "Arrange by Date Taken" from "Arrange" menu to display them in chronological order. Otherwise, drag your photos behind and in front of one another to order them randomly. Name, describe and tag your photos -- if you want -- by clicking the "Tags, Titles and Descriptions" option from the "Batch Edit" menu. Click the "Save" menu to save your set.
- 3). Return to your photostream by clicking the "Your Photostream" button in the top, right corner of the window. Click the name of your set in the list of sets running down the right side of your photostream. Click the "Slideshow" icon in the top, right corner of your photo set to view your photos as a Flash-based video slideshow, keeping in mind they display in the order you set in the Organizr.
- 4). Generate an HTML code to embed your slideshow in blogs or websites. Click the "Share" button in the top, right corner of the slideshow when it's playing, then click "Copy" to copy the HTML code to your computer. Paste it into HTML windows on your blog or website, or send it to a friend or family member via email so he can share it as he wishes.
