    • 1). Press "Start" and highlight "All Programs." Select "Accessories," then "System Tools." Click on "System Restore" to launch that utility.

    • 2). Use "Restore my computer to an earlier time" to restore the Windows XP computer with Service Pack 3 to a previous working state. Click "Next."

    • 3). Select a date on the calendar when your Windows XP computer was functioning properly. Click on the date, then click "Next" to revert your computer to that restore point.
