How to Add Your Photo to the TypePad Sidebar
- 1). Log in to your TypePad control panel.
- 2). Select "Library" from the navigation bar and "File Manager."
- 3). Click "Choose File" under "Upload a New File" to browse your computer and select the image you want to display.
- 4). Click "Upload" and name the file. Click "Create."
- 5). Once the file is created and visible from the File Manager, click it to view the file's URL in your browser's address bar. Using your mouse, copy the URL. This will be used to display the image on your main page.
- 6). Click "Weblogs" from the control panel and "Design." Scroll down and choose the "Embed your own HTML" module.
- 7). Click "Add this module". Sample HTML code appears. Edit it by highlighting and deleting it then pasting the image URL copied earlier.
- 8). Click "Save." The image will appear in the sidebar. Drag the image to position it. Click "Update" after making any modifications.
