Monetizing your blog is a big deal these days and more bloggers are trying to correctly monetize their blogs with the intention of making some money online.
The number one thing to remember when trying to make money off your blog however, is how it may affect your readers and followers and if this sort of thing is going to irritate them.
This is important because as bloggers you do what you can to attract and keep your readers and losing them could mean your blog is losing the steam it needs to stay up and running.
With things like Google AdSense, and other services that you can use to make money off your blog, it is tempting to place as many ads and products as possible.
However, this can seriously annoy followers and turn them off to your blog.
How do you get around this? Direct Traffic From Other Sites That Can Earn You Money One of the ways you can make money form your blog is to post links on sites that pay for direct page views.
For example, you can use a site like RedGage to post links to that site, and get paid for page views that you get from readers on that site.
That way, you don't have to plaster so many ads, because you are getting paid once when a user clicks on your article at RedGage, and once again when Google pays you for views on your actual post.
Post Relevant Ads And Products If you are writing about the Buffalo Bills, you might want to put up ads for season tickets, or post an Amazon block for a Buffalo Bills jersey, or hat.
People would probably want to see these types of ads and might actually click on your blocks and buy stuff.
Limit Ad Space Limiting the amount of ads that you have can decrease money, but it can also decrease people leaving because of all the ads, or due to increased loading time due to ads.
If you are in desperate need of funds, you an always ask for donations, or find other ways to monetize that aren't ad based, maybe charge a fee for a subscription to your content.
There are many ways you can limit your advertising space and still make money without annoying people.
Posting links on other sites, selling relevant ads, and finding other ways to make money off your blog is the best way to go.
