Anime Expo 2008 MySpace Cosplay
It wasn't exactly conventional, but this MySpace page cosplay was one of the more original (and fun!) costumes I saw at AX '08.
While it wasn't exactly based on anime or manga, this MySpace page cosplay was a minor triumph of engineering. Upon request, the "page" folded out and had a spot where someone (like me) could pop into the "People I want to meet" spot. I also liked the interchangeable "mood" placards too. Lots of fun!
