    • 1). Go to an online DLL library and download the DLL that must be fixed. Note that you must download the DLL to your "C:\Windows\System32" folder. To do this, click on the DLL and then click "Save" and browse to the "C:\Windows\System32" folder and click "Save."

    • 2). Click "Start" and type "Run" into the "Search" box and press "Enter." The Run tool opens.

    • 3). Type "regsvr32 /u name.dll" (without the quotation marks) into the Run dialog box and click "OK." Note that "name" should be replaced with the name of the DLL file that you just downloaded.

    • 4). Restart your computer.
