How to Download From YouTube to iPod
- 1). Download the "YouTube Downloader" and the "YouTube to MP3 Converter" from the DVD-Video-Soft website (www.dvdvideosoft.com). The YouTube Downloader will allow you to save any YouTube video onto your personal desktop. The YouTube to MP3 Converter will allow you to save any video's audio as an MP3 file to your computer.
- 2). Go to youtube.com and open the video or audio you wish to save. Make sure you have permission to download the file from its originator before you proceed. Click on the "info" section of the video and check for any copyright tags that would make it illegal to download the file. Once that is all clear, copy the URL address of the video by right-clicking your browser's address bar and then selecting "Copy" from the menu that will appear. Drag your cursor into the center of the program you downloaded in Step 1, then right-click your mouse and select "Paste." Once the video's name appears, click the "Convert" button located at the bottom right corner of the program.
- 3). Open the iTunes program and add the newly downloaded files to your library. To do this, click "File" and then "Add to Library" from the iTunes menu. From there a search window will appear that will allow you to search your computer for the files you wish to add.
- 4). Connect your iPod to your computer by plugging it in with its USB cord. The device will appear automatically in your iTunes program once it is detected by your computer. Click on your iPod from the source list located on the left margin of the program. Then click "Music," "Sync Music," and then the files you wish to add. After selecting the files, click "Apply" and they will be downloaded to your iPod.
- 5). Safely remove your iPod from your computer by right-clicking the green arrow icon in the menu tray located at the bottom right corner of your computer's desktop. Click "Stop" and then "iPod" from the menus that will appear. A message alert will pop up that tells you when it is safe to remove your iPod from your computer.
