Banners were a large part of the world, the World Wide Web since its inception. Writers burning the midnight oil in search of new designs that will capture the visitor's attention and compel them to click on their banner. This article describes some of the most successful banner designs.

"Do not click here." How many of you have seen this slogan on a banner? What were you doing when you saw? If you're like most people, when I saw you clicked. What makes this simple phrase so powerful that it forces the visitor to click it? The answer is curiosity!

Copywriters and web designers are constantly looking for ways to increase the curiosity of visitors. As banner designers their aim is to attract visitor's flag, usually, completely ignoring the other web page elements that are important for site owners. Since "Do not click here" slogan does not say anything about what the next page, it triggers the curiosity of the visitor and makes it almost impossible to click on a banner behind.

Simple integrated design

When Larry Page and Sergey Brin first time their product, "Google" for potential investors, who are mentioned in AdWords as a backup option if you do not make money. We all know how lucky they were that in the end you had to use back-up plan. What made these 'boring' ads so successful?

Unlike other advertising, Adwords, or arouse the curiosity of the visitor, or disturb the main flow of the website. In fact, the opposite is true. Adwords is supposed to look like part of the search results, giving the user the feeling that these ads are there because you asked for them. Nobody has the slightest doubt that this simple design allows Google to promote both your search engine and AdWords advertising program.

Take part in the action

Banner designers wisely used interactive technologies such as Flash to develop the type of banners that invite users to participate in activities. Design user activities can be carried out according to a number of creative ways. Some web designers use the old popular games as part of the scene. You all know the popular Pacman game. One of the banners that I like best is one in which a user can enter Pacman "eat" just a dollar sign. Upon completion of this task, a nice slogan, it reveals to ask him to open a savings account that earns a fixed interest rate. The idea behind the interactive banner is simple: Allow the user to participate in, and then at the right time, when his mind is strong, will be available in the message. Those interactive banners proved to be very effective. The main disadvantage is that most webmasters will not allow this type of flag, because it interferes too much content of the web page.

Back to Black

Web designers are always trying to be different with their design ideas. One banner fashion trends can be found lately is black and white banners. Although research shows that blue and yellow are the colors most effective for use in a banner, black and white flags have been a lot lately. This is probably something that will eventually go away, but the idea is to be different and make the user wonder what happens and hopefully click on the banner to see.

Out of the box

Have you heard of the webtecmart.com? If not, check the site before reading this article. This website has shown that creative thinking can not only make money but to create a whole new trend. Just after the webtecmart.com caught the attention of the Internet community, many designers use this idea to design a banner selling a 10x10 pixel area. As the original concept, this concept of the flag had its impact. Advertisers are spending money on advertising, while at the same time, visitors are curious enough time after time looking at the banners of pixels arranged to click them.

What about the next trend

What future trends in the design of the flag is something that probably no one can predict with accuracy. It is a web designer just to get a new concept that is proving effective. There is no doubt that in the future, we will see new ways to design banners, especially when increasing advertising budgets spent on the Internet instead of commercial television and other media advertising. I guess we must have patience.
