The Spock Uniform was produced by well known designer Michael Kaplan for the very popular new 2009 Star Trek movie.
All costumes for this great movie were designed by Kaplan, and they are quite different from the former uniforms which were made in the 1960s.
These earlier designs have been brought up to date by adding a colored shirt and grey trousers as part of the new uniforms.
The shirts were made in a variety of distinguishing colors which demonstrate the wearers crew position.
All of these new type of costumes, which were designed specifically for the new 2009 Star Trek movie, are produced from better materials than the first costumes, which had a tendency to shred and therefore to wear out too soon.
The new material is a mixture of 87% nylon and 13% spandex which gives long wearing qualities, and lasts far longer than the earlier costumes.
The Star Fleet logo, mounted on the left chest of the wearer, demonstrates the crew position and also the rank of this particular crew member.
The uniforms are made in colors of red, blue, or gold and the Spock uniform is in made in the blue color.
A variety of Star Trek accessories can be purchased to add to the realistic appearance of the Spock uniform, and these accessories will add greatly to the costume.
You can have vinyl plastic Spock ears which will neatly fit over your ears.
Star Trek Phaser guns are certainly very realistic and look decidedly deadly.
Also available are electronic communicators and the lately added Tricorder which add much to Star Trek uniforms.
A Spock outfit cannot be complete unless it has the well known Spock Vulcan ears, which add much to the costume.
If you definitely want to go all out, there is also available a latex rubber Spock mask which is fantastic.
