How to Start a Blog to Make Online Revenue - Part 4 - Monetization of Your Blog
In the previous post I talked about creating traffic to your blog.
Traffic is a good thing.
It is the life blood of your blog.
In order to make money off of the traffic you will need to use some monetizing techniques.
There are a variety of things you can use out there to make money.
One of the most common and easiest ways is to use Google Adsense.
Advertising Setup an account with Google AdSense and you can start creating ad units of all types and variety to display on your blog.
Be sure to create channels for the diffferent AdSense units you create so you can see which ads are being clicked on and which ones are not.
This is the way you can fine tune your ad units for maximum revenue.
Remember you can only have up to 3 different ads for content units on 1 page at a time.
Never click on your own ads either.
Google AdSense is pay per click advertising.
This means that all people have to do is click on the ads and you will get paid.
There are other forms of advertising such as pay per impression but we don't need to go into that here because you have a new blog and you don't get much page impressions yet.
Focus on making the payperclick work first.
Affiliate Programs Affiliate programs are another easy way to earn money from new blogs.
You simply sign up for a program and they will provide you with links to products and services.
You place these links in posts and on your blog and promote them.
If someone clicks on the links through your site and purchases the product or service then you get a commission on the sale.
Here is a list of some of the programs I use.

until you find what fits best for your blog.
Obviously it is necessary to choose products and services that fit what your blog is all about.
