When it comes to learning how to build lean muscle and burn fat fast, a lot of people can be left pretty confused.

To many people think that losing weight = doing long, slow, boring cardio 5 days a week.
If this is you then stop right now! Long slow cardio has been shown to be 0% effective at burning fat from your body.
In fact, since it actually breaks down muscle mass in your body, you can gain more fat weight from doing it exclusively! Instead, you should start incorporating both weight training as well as interval training into your workouts.
Yes, even you, ladies, need to start lifting weights.
And by lifting weights, you should be lifting heavy weights that cause you struggle once you've lifted the weight 10 times.
If you're lifting light weights for 20 reps, you're just wasting time.
Interval training is the other side of the coin.
Short, intense spurts of exercise followed by short rest periods; typically something like 30 seconds on and 60-90 seconds off.
Both of these types of training methods does two incredible things for your body.
It kicks your metabolism into high gear for 24 hours after your workout, meaning you burn tons of fat the next day even though you haven't done anything, and it also, obviously, builds lean muscle mass, causing your metabolism to become even higher meaning even more fat loss.
You have it in you to completely transform who you are.
