Moving on after divorce involves going through a major period of transition from married partner to independent person.
This can be difficult especially if you have been married for a long time.
Divorce is a major change in circumstances and involves changes of role, responsibility, relationships, financial position and possibly your well-being.
Whether you are the one, who initiated the divorce, told your spouse you wanted a divorce or you split up by mutual agreement, you are alone again after many years as part of a couple and it is a big change to deal with.
Everyone will experience the aftermath of divorce differently.
Time to complete the transition will vary with individual circumstances and involve a range of feelings and states, from shock and denial, searching and anger to guilt, until after a period of general acceptance, the transition is complete.
