Indiana Rights for Disabled Veterans
- Indiana Workforce Development provides disabled veterans with counseling, testing and identifying training and employment opportunities.
- Veterans with a service connected disability qualify for a Disabled Veteran License Plate. The license plate works the same as a handicap plate in the state of Indiana. Veterans must complete an application, and the Indiana Department of Veteran's Affairs must verify the veteran's disability.
- Disabled veterans who served honorably for at least 90 days and are totally disabled or 62 years or older and have a 10 percent service connected disability qualify for an annual $12,480 property tax deduction. However, if the assessed value of the real property exceeds $143,160, this deduction is not available. Wartime disabled veterans who served honorably and have a service connected disability of at least 10 percent are entitled to an annual property tax deduction of $24,960.
