How to Get ASC Certified
- 1). Take a basic training course. You may take a two-day, instructor-led course, which is available in many different locations. At the time of publication, the cost for this training course is $1,100. If you cannot attend a live event, sign up for the online courses. You may choose an instructor-led online course or a self-paced course.
- 2). Pass the advanced training course. The live, instructor-led course is one full day and costs $700, at the time of publication. Otherwise, pass the online advanced training class.
- 3). Prepare for the certification examination by reviewing your notes from the training courses and studying the ARGUS case study manual.
- 4). Pass the ARGUS certification exam. At the time of publication, the exam fee was $350. You must achieve a score of 70 percent or higher to receive your certification. If your score is lower than this, you may retake the exam for a fee of $149. Exam registration is available through the ARGUS website.
- 5). Renew your ASC certification every two years. Pass an online, multiple-choice exam to renew your credentials. At the time of publication, the fee for recertification was $149.
