Wedding Dance Lessons
Due to the recent popularity of reality dance shows, ballroom-style dance lessons are more abundant than ever before. If you and your partner are interested in learning a special dance for your wedding day, a quality dance studio and instructor should be fairly easy to find and reasonably priced. Choose to attend wedding dance classes with a group or privately with a personal instructor.
- Group Dance Classes: Begin by searching the internet for local ballroom dance studios. Most cities have studios that offer lessons in the waltz, rumba and tango, all of which are suited for your first dance together. Most ballroom dance studios offer several classes to accommodate everyone, fromm beginners to more advanced dancers. Group classes usually consist of four or five couples. Some studios even offer special wedding dance classes for future brides and grooms. Try to practice outside of the classroom...dancing together in public will build your confidence and your dance skills.
- Private Dance Lessons: Private wedding dance lessons may appeal to you if you are interested in learning one-on-one from a professional. Most ballroom dance studios offer private lessons for wedding couples, but are usually much more costly. You will be taught privately by a professional teacher who will coreograph a wedding dance for you. You will work with your teacher to choose the perfect song and style for your special dance. If you choose to hire a professional, be sure to book your lessons well in advance. You will probably need about six solid weeks of practice in order to really dazzle your friends and family on your big day.
