How to Deal with Possible Infidelity

    • 1). Gather evidence supporting your theory that your spouse is cheating. Make a mental note, or write in a journal when something doesn't seem quite right. You might be able to put these pieces together into an insightful conclusion.

    • 2). Show up unannounced at times of the day that you don't usually see him. For example, surprise him by dropping by his office and taking him out to lunch, or come home from work early one day. You might catch him red-handed being unfaithful.

    • 3). Prepare yourself to confront your spouse with your findings, if you gather enough clues to support your feeling that she's having an affair. Think about what you want to happen. If you want her to move out, be prepared to tell her this. Consider how you will feel if she confesses to having an affair; mentally prepare yourself to hear this.

    • 4). Confront your spouse and ask him if he's having an affair. Try to be calm and restrain yourself from acting out, as you will likely feel very emotional and betrayed. He is more likely to confess if you give him a calm environment to do so, than if you behave hysterically.
