Run Windows Defender

• 1). Download Windows Defender from Microsoft; a link is provided below. Users that use Windows Vista already have Windows Defender built into their computer.
  
  
• 2). Click "Start."
  
  
• 3). Click "All Programs."
  
  
• 4). Click "Windows Defender."
  
  
• 5). Click "Scan" on the Windows Defender main menu.
  
  
• 6). Click the down arrow next to the "Scan" button to choose between quick scan, full scan and custom scan.
  
  

Set Windows Defender Options

• 1). Click "Tools" on the Windows Defender main toolbar.
  
  
• 2). Click "Options" on the "Tools and Options" page.
  
  
• 3). Set a schedule for Windows Defender to run automatic scans for spyware on your computer.
