Obama"s Disapproval Rating Is 50%, Meaning You Can Fool Half The People, Half the Time
Did you know that President Obama's approval rating is now down to 42%? It's true, and that means his disapproval rating is at 48%, only two points away from 50%.
Worse, for Obama it looks as if the disapproval ratings will continue to climb due to the high gasoline prices, and perpetual unemployment.
Even though the unemployment numbers are coming down a little bit, they're not coming down fast enough.
Meanwhile with gasoline at four dollars per gallon many consumers are feeling pinched.
When consumers lack confidence, they stop spending and that will hurt retailers, restaurants, hospitality industry, and just about every other sector in our economy.
It doesn't bode well for construction, real estate, or new car sales either (electric hybrids might do okay).
But I ask why is Obama's disapproval rating at 50% now? Could it be that people are tired of his political rhetoric and premade Teleprompter speeches? Yes, the man gives a very good speech, no one is debating that.
In fact he may be one of the best Teleprompter reader's in all of human history for all we know.
His brain seems to be able to process the information very quickly as he is reading, he can read a Teleprompter better than most all newscasters on prime time, which is incredible considering that's what they do all day long.
But merely speaking the words and making promises is not enough for Americans anymore, now they wish to have results.
They are tired of the political rhetoric and promises - and they seem to be burned out over hope and change.
It was amazing recently when president Obama went out to California to do campaign fund-raising, and was only able to raise $4 million.
Many of the famous movie stars are no longer supporting this president because he didn't close Gitmo, and we are still at war in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Worse, the antiwar crowd in Hollywood is upset that we are in yet a third conflict in Libya.
Can President Obama catch a break? It's hard to say, and one has to ask if he even deserves one after his political performance over the last couple of years.
Indeed many people gave President Bush a hard time for spending so much, but this president has spent more than the last four presidents combined and he's only been in office for two years.
Can President Obama get reelected with a disapproval rating of 50%? Maybe, because it is quite early in the campaign.
It's a long way until the 2012 elections, but if things don't improve quickly, he's liable to find himself behind the eight ball, and with no political capital to get the ball close enough to make a three point shot.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
