How to Scan a System to Find Problems
- 1). Click on the Windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen.
- 2). Click on the Computer icon. This icon will be found in the second column about one-half of the way down.
- 3). Right-click on the C-drive icon. This will bring up a menu.
- 4). Right click on "Properties." This will also bring up a menu.
- 5). Click on the "Tools" tab.
- 6). Click on the "Check" button that can be found in the "Error Checking" box. This will begin the error checking process. After this process has begun you will need to follow the instructions that the program gives to you.
- 1). Conduct a Web search for a program such as Malwarebytes, AVG or Adware. These programs can be legally downloaded for free and will pull most malicious code off of your machine.
- 2). Install the program and create an icon on your desktop by following the instructions.
- 3). Run the anti-spyware program and follow the directions after it is done to remove all of the spyware and malware it has found.
