Which Yoga Program Is Right for Me?
So you have decided you want to give Yoga a try, however you have started to look into it and your already overwhelmed at the different types of yoga on offer and your not even sure which one to do! Don't worry as this happens to everyone when they first start exploring yoga, I am going to help you decide which program is best for you.
The most common program for beginners is the Sivananda.
This is actually what most work outs include and focuses mainly on breathing and posing techniques.
It is the most general form and if you are just starting out this would be ideal for you.
Its not too strenuous and even once it becomes too easy for you there are more advanced classes you can do.
If you really want to push your body hard and see great gains when it comes to weight loss and building body strength then you should look into Ashtanga.
This is a very advanced form so perhaps not a good idea if you're a beginner, however if you have experience with other fitness programs you should be able to start doing this with no problems.
This program will really push you to the limits.
If when you go to the gym you like to spend time in the sauna then I can recommend you try out the Bikram program.
This is a hot type of yoga and can be seen as quite extreme however the results are great and you will see a big difference in your body very quickly.
