Easy Summer Drinks

In the good old summertime, you don't want to be bothered with a lot of preparation.
All these recipes use a blender for fast results.
No alcohol in any of them.
Apricot Nog 1/2 cup apricot nectar 1/2 cup cream 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg 1 cup ice cubes Put all ingredients in the blender and blend on high 10 seconds or until frothy.
Makes 2 drinks.
Coffee Nog 1/2 cup cold strong coffee 2 tablespoons sugar 2 cups milk 1/2 cup heavy cream 4 ice cubes Nutmeg Put all ingredients except nutmeg into the blender.
Blend on high 15 seconds.
Pour into punch glasses, and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Makes three drinks.
Banana Frosted 1 cup milk 1 large scoop vanilla ice cream 1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced Put the milk and ice cream in the blender.
Blend on high 5 seconds.
Turn off blender and remove cover.
Turn back on, and carefully add the banana slices.
Continue to blend until mixture is smooth and thick.
Makes one drink.
Frosted Chocolate Malted 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup 1 tablespoon malted milk 1 teaspoon sugar 1 large scoop chocolate ice cream 1/2 cup milk Put all ingredients in the blender and blend on high until thick and smooth.
Makes one drink.
Fruit Sodas Why buy from the store? Make your own at home.
It costs less, avoids that high fructose corn syrup, and is always fresh.
Juice of one lemon, lime, or orange 1 thin strip of fruit peel 2-3 tablespoons sugar Club soda Put the juice, peel and sugar in the blender.
Blend on high 60 seconds.
Pour into a glass with cracked ice, and fill with club soda.
Makes one drink.
Note: You may be able to use a sugar substitute instead.
I haven't tried that myself, so you'll have to experiment a bit to see if it turns out well.
