• Weighing 1.3 ounces, the 5G iPod Nano measured 1.5 inches wide, 0.2 inches deep and 3.6 inches tall. Made of anodized aluminum, it was available with 8 or 16 GB of storage space. Its LCD screen measures 2.2 inches across the diagonal, and it has a resolution of 376 by 240 pixels. Camera, Speaker and Microphone

• One of the most anticipated features of the 5G iPod Nano was its built-in camera. Though it certainly couldn't replace high-end camcorders or cameras, it offered an immediate, portable answer for photo-worthy moments when those bulkier, high-end items weren't on hand. Its shell was glossier than the 4G's, and its battery life increased slightly to 5 hours from 4. • The 5G iPod Nano was also the first generation to offer FM radio. Users had long requested that Apple provide this feature, and the company finally relented with this model. The radio in the 5G was fairly sophisticated, allowing users to pause and rewind up to 15 seconds of audio. It could also display station information, tag songs and create submenus. When it was synced with iTunes, it could also look up tagged songs in the iTunes Store.
  
  

Pedometer

• Because the iPod Nano is so lightweight and small but also able to hold numerous songs, it is the perfect size for workouts. Noting this application, Apple gave the 5G Nano an updated pedometer feature, which could track the user's number of steps, calories burned, and fitness goals. In addition, when it was synced with iTunes, it could also sync with the Nike+ website, which provided a platform for tracking the user's progress and garnering fitness motivation.
