To help maintain a healthy lifestyle it is recommended to maintain an elevated heart rate for at least thirty minutes, five days a week. People can find themselves dreading their daily workout but if you enjoy racquetball you can enjoy your regular exercise too.

When spending four to six hours a week in the gym you might as well make your workout something you can enjoy. Racquetball is a competitive sport that requires a lot of cardiovascular exercise, which is why it is a perfect sport to help you stay fit.

If you enjoy racquetball but arent in good enough shape to play an entire game, start by walking or running on a treadmill until you feel you can complete a game. If you decide to make racquetball your means of exercise take the time to ensure you are playing correctly and you are using the proper technique.

First, different types of swings will require different mechanics, if they arent done correctly you will find it hard to improve your game. If you learn to swing incorrectly you can keep that swing with you for your entire racquetball career.

Use your core strength, your hip muscles, and be sure to properly bend the shoulder to get a strong and powerful serve. Snap your wrist at the bottom of your stroke to get an added velocity and to improve the accuracy of your swing.

Stand on the balls of your feet with your knees bent when preparing to return your opponents serve. Also, be sure to examine the spin of the ball to give you a better idea where the ball will ultimately end up.

Experienced players will quickly learn if your back hand is a weakness, if so they will serve the ball so you have to return that ball with a back hand. Practice your weaknesses as much as possible to minimize the advantage and experienced opponent will have

When you are concentrating on delivering a strong forehand make sure that your elbow is closely aligned with the top of your shoulder. Your forearm should be as close to parallel with the floor as possible, in addition you elbow should be bent at a ninety degree angle.

As you run towards the ball lead your stroke with your elbow, this will allow for a smother swing resulting in higher accuracy. At the bottom of your stroke use your writs to guide the ball in the direction you want.

Practicing often will result in muscle memory and eventually resulting in stronger more accurate swing. Practicing regularly will speed up the muscle memory process; you will notice a dramatic difference in play when you dont have to think about what youre going to do next or how you plan to do it.

When you dont have to think about how you are playing it will allow you to concentrate more on the ball and result in an overall belter set of skills. As you skills increase so will the amount of fun you have and the amount of calories you burn.
