One of the most common questions my customers ask me is how do I get more people to my blog? Here are five strategies that are effective to increase traffic to any blog, regardless of what topic you choose.

Press releases.
There are many websites that will submit a press release for you whenever you blog is launching a new product or service.
Or you can use a press release whenever you post new content on your blog that could be significant to your target audience.
There are some sites that allow you to do press releases for free, while others charge a minimal fee.

Write articles to generate traffic.
You can submit your article to popular article directories, and then you can include your resource box and link to your blog at the bottom.
This is a cost effective way to drive a good bit of people to your blog.
And one of my favorite ways to get more people to my blog.
3.
Sell a cheap product on eBay that relates to the content of your blog, and ask people to visit your website.
This is also an effective way to get traffic to your blog, and often people get more this way than they initially thought they would.
4.
Advertise your blog on classified ads sites such as craigslist and backpage.
These sites receive a lot of visitors, so if you post quality ads and post them often, you will see people come to your website.
5.
Make sure that you optimize your blog or squidoo lens so that people know you are out there.
Get as many backlinks to your blog as possible, and also make sure to include fresh content to your blog on a weekly basis.
