    • 1). Cut into the paint using the blade of your utility knife. Make a gentle, shallow cut to avoid damaging the underlying wood, metal or plastic.

    • 2). Wedge the head of your screwdriver beneath the raised edge of the paint. Push down on the handle and move the screwdriver forward to lift the chip of paint.

    • 3). Perform Steps 1 and 2 over the entire painted surface until you achieve the desired effect.

    • 4). Smooth the chipped areas using a pad of fine grit sandpaper.
