How to Copy an MPEG-2 to the Apple iPhone

    • 1). Press the "Home" button on your iPhone and tap the "App Store" icon on the home screen.

    • 2). Tap "Search." Type a search term, such as "MPEG-2," then tap "Search." Tap the name of an MPEG-2-player app from the search results, such as Movie Player, Video Media Player or VM Player. Tap the word "Free" or tap the price next to the name of the MPEG-2-player app. Tap "Install." Enter your Apple ID when prompted. The MPEG-2-player app downloads to your iPhone.

    • 3). Launch iTunes on your computer. Connect your iPhone to a USB port on your computer using the iPhone's USB cable. Click the icon representing your iPhone under "Devices" on the left side of the iTunes window.

    • 4). Click the "Apps" tab at the top of the iTunes window. Click the "Sync Apps" check box. Click "Sync" at the bottom of the iTunes window to copy the MPEG-2-player app to your computer.

    • 5). Click the name of the MPEG-2-player app in the Apps pane under "File Sharing" at the bottom of the iTunes window to select it. Drag an MPEG-2 video from a folder on your computer into the Documents pane in the File Sharing section. The MPEG-2 video transfers to your iPhone through the USB cable and is accessible from the MPEG-2-player app on your iPhone.

    • 6). Click the "Eject" button next to your iPhone's icon in the left pane of the iTunes window. Unplug the iPhone from your computer.
