Easy-To-Do Star Party Decoration Ideas
- Cut stars of varying sizes out of cardboard. Wrap the cardboard stars in tinfoil. Punch a hole in one tip of the stars and hang them from the ceiling using fishing line. You can also paint the stars with metallic paint if you want them to be a different color.
- Paint brown paper lunch bags to match the colors of your party. Use a star-shaped paper punch, which you can find at your local craft store, to punch star shapes out of the bags. Open up the bags and place them in the center of your tables. Place a small tea candle in the bottom of each bag and light the candles to finish these star-themed centerpieces. Use a craft knife and star stencil to cut the stars from the bag if you don't want to purchase a star paper punch.
- Use star-shaped confetti to decorate your star-themed party in several ways. You can scatter it on tabletops or the dance floor. You can also fill small glass vases with star-shaped confetti and place them on tabletops around the room. You can secure star confetti to large pillar candles by placing a small sewing pin through the center of the pieces into the candle.
- Create a star mobile with Shrinky Dinks plastic and wooden dowels to hang from the ceiling. Color stars onto the plastic with colored pencils; you can make them all different sizes and colors. Cut the stars out and punch holes in them for hanging later. Bake the stars so that they shrink down. Hang the stars from wooden dowels with fishing line, which you can then hang from the ceiling.
