The survey will ask you questions regarding your family and routines to help match you up with a pet suitable to your lifestyle. Adoption Application

  After you have visited your local pet adoption agency and decided on a pet, you will need to fill out an adoption application. The application will ask what type of housing you live in, questions pertaining to any other pets you own and your veterinarian's name if you have one. Fees

  Once your application has been approved, you will be required to pay Kentucky pet adoption fees, which range from $65 to $105 for cats and $65 to $350 for dogs. These fees cover medical costs pertaining to the spaying or neutering of your new friend, microchipping and microchip registration, and up-to-date state-required vaccinations. Once you have met all the requirements, you can take your new pet home with you.
