Do abuse and cruelty of animals upset and anger you? Does the neglect shown by certain people to their animals trouble you equally? Well, you comprise a group of concerned people whose distressed feelings surpass those of the owners of the animals. A large number of people will do something additional and extraordinary for them. My reference is not to the partner of Eco-Terrorists called the PETA Organization. Instead, I am referring to common people like you who will stay wake at night when they see the worrisome neglect, cruelty and abuse of animals.
Are you one of those millions of Americans who have found a pet at the pound? This pet may have been lost or brought to the pound because of it being mistreated abused or simply as it ran way. This is good news for you and even better for your pet to have found you and a loving home. You often wish that people cared for pets like this, don't you? Numerous no-kill shelters are found all over the country to take in mistreated animals. They help to find loving homes for the pets where they will not be abused or unkindly treated.
Abuse and neglect of animals appear in various forms. Overpopulation is a straightforward reason of the abuse of many animals. We kill more than 4 million companion animals every year, as per the statistics from the Humane Association of the United States. A large amount of these animals can be adopted. Fortunately we have progressed as at one point of time this figure was 17million. Yet, we need to work harder and smarter to completely eliminate accidental neglect and abuse. It is important to make people responsible for spraying and neutering pets. Consider the fruitful nature of animals. Within a period of three years only one and the kittens produced in the first year can produce more than 150 cats. The figures for a dog are nearly identical. An inequality is created in the supply and demand of pets due to this overpopulation. As a result, many pets that can be adopted are left homeless.
On the other hand, a more complex reason is neglect. This may include accidental or intentional harm to pets comprising of denying the pet social interaction, failure to provided food, water or shelter, abandonment, excessive ground staking, failure to groom, untreated medical conditions, etc. Death can be a result of neglect like abandonment.
When everyone says, "No More", then only we can possibly stop cruelty and abuse of animals. It is also possible when throw people who are mistreating animals in jail and feed only scraps of food. Think and imagine on this and how they would feel on such shameful treatment.
