Why Choose Organic and Wildcrafted Skin Care?

103 7
Most people do not consider what the ingredients are in a skin care or cosmetic product any more than they consider the ingredients in the processed packaged food they buy.
If this assessment was wrong then the majority of skin care and food choices on the market would be organic and or wildcrafted.
Unfortunately there is still a huge amount of reeducation needed so people can unravel all the misinformation about the safety and long term effects of synthetic chemicals on our health and specifically on the condition of our skin.
It is quite clear to me and anyone who looks at the facts that the commercialization and mass manufacturing of products that directly effect our health have not been carefully scrutinized by the industry or through government consumer protection.
Profit in the short term is the primary goal and short term results that mainly coverup and chase symptoms are the focus.
In the longer term, negative and harmful results are the consequence.
For many people there is a problem with their willingness and ability to tie the longer term use of harmful skin care ingredients to health problems inside their bodies and in the look and condition of their skin.
The skin is the body's largest organ and whatever is put on the skin is absorbed in to the body.
What's happening inside the body shows up on the skin.
If we don't closely scrutinize what we put on our skin to be sure the ingredients are health supporting and not harmful to health, in the long run, we can only expect to suffer with ill health and prematurely aging skin that does not look good.
Quality of life is lowered.
The Do No Harm Philosophy In an ideal world we would like to trust that all the people and companies who design and concoct the products offered to us are honestly concerned about our ultimate welfare.
Unfortunately that's not the case, they are concerned about profit, which would be fine if the quest for profit was equal in importance to a do no harm philosophy.
Finding companies and people who are producing products that promote health and specifically healthy skin, are out there.
Generally these are the companies that do have a mission of doing no harm to peoples health and the environment.
Generally these are the companies that are marketing organic, wildcrafted naturally pure products.
It is still important to scrutinize even these companies to analyze who they are and what their product ingredients actually are.
Just because they list a couple of organic ingredients does not mean that there are not also questionable ingredients involved.
The word natural no longer always indicates anything to do with purity, it is best to look closely and don't assume that a product will be healthy for your skin and your general health until you see that all the ingredients are organic and or wildcrafted without any synthetic or harmful chemicals.
Organic in most cases refers to ingredients that are produced without chemical stabilizers, preservatives, chemical enhancers for color and texture or synthesized nutrients.
Basically pure, clean and nutritious ingredients.
Ingredients you would not prefer to eat but if you swallowed some you'd be fine.
Wildcrafted is exactly as it sounds, sustainably harvested from wild grown botanicals.
The information and perceptions in this article are meant to inform and encourage people who choose to be conscious about what the ingredients are in the skin care products they put on their skin.
In order to have naturally beautiful healthy skin with no long term harmful side effects it is important to be well informed and diligent as to what your are buying.
If we care to look all around us we see that way too many product producers are focused only on profit, otherwise we would not see the amount of out of control health and environmental problems that exist.
It is often difficult to put the dots together when it comes to how skin care products might be effecting our general health and how what we choose to eat is effecting the look and condition of our skin.
Your money is your vote, how you spend your money is a statement about what matters to you.
For your skin and your overall health choose organic, wildcrafted sustainably produced products.
Support the companies that embrace the do no harm philosophy.
It matters for your health, beauty and lifestyle and for the sustainability of our natural environment.
