Portable Software that can run off portable devices such as USB's, should be recognized by software developers more, the reason why, is because you can put the program onto your USB stick and wherever you are you can boot up that software even if it's not installed onto that computer.
Now of course, for software that you have to pay for, then this wouldn't work, but I'm surprised that there aren't more of the free software developers giving this a go.
Now there is a way to install a program onto your USB device without having to install onto the computer, but you have to format the USB stick to NTFS format, by doing this it will allow most programs to install onto it.
So, you're sat there, reading this, and your thinking, what does this mean? Well, by installing it onto your USB device it means where-ever you are in the world, you can just plug your USB into the computer, run the software without having to touch a disc.
The only downside portable software has, is that it can make the program run slower since its running off your USB and not direct off the HDD.
With that being said, I would advise you check with the license agreement before doing this to prevent any legal action taken against you, since some software developers do not like this, so please check you have permission off the developer first, especially if you are using paid programs.
