    Festival Site History

    • From 1993 to 1999, the festival was held at Chestnut Ridge Park, a popular recreational park. In 2000, the festival moved to Camp Muffly, the site of many 4-H projects and activities. As of 2010, Camp Muffly still hosted the festival.

    Festival Proceed Beneficiaries

    • Each year's festival proceeds fund various local projects, events and missions. West Virginia University receives endowed scholarship funds, as well as money for other educational ventures. Part of the proceeds sponsor free concerts for high schools and middle schools, as well as local groups that help make the festival successful receive funding.

    Considerations

    • The festival typically takes place each year in September. It usually spans two days: Saturday and Sunday. As of 2010, admission was $15 per person per day, which included a wine glass and wine tasting for persons older than 21. Past festivals have included performances by the Mike Tomaro Quintet, Dwayne Dolphin, Eric Haltmeier and Paul Scea.
