How to Attach Neoprene to Concrete
- 1). Thoroughly clean the concrete to remove any stains, grease residue or dirt. Use a power washer for tough cleaning if necessary. Let the concrete thoroughly dry before attaching the neoprene.
- 2). Ventilate the area in which you will be applying the neoprene.
- 3). Don work gloves. Turn the neoprene over so the side that will attach to the concrete faces up. Dip a glue roller in urethane adhesive and roll it along the neoprene surface until it is thoroughly coated.
- 4). Press the glue-covered neoprene surface onto the concrete; run your hands over the surface to remove air bubbles and to ensure smooth adhesion. Repeat the process for each neoprene piece you need to attach.
- 5). Allow the glue at least 12 hours to cure and bond to the concrete surface before using the surface.
