Capture the Video

• 1). Open YouTube, MegaVideo, Vimeo or another video website where you found the Internet video recording. Navigate to the video, then click on its link when the video comes up. When you arrive at the individual video's page, copy the URL from the address bar by highlighting the address, right-clicking in the address box and choosing "Copy" from the context menu.
  
  
• 2). Go to a video-capturing website. ClipNabber and KeepVid are two simple systems that can download from most popular video sites (see Resources for links).
  
  
• 3). Right-click in the box on the page labeled "URL." Choose "Paste" from the menu to paste the website address of the video that you want to download.
  
  
• 4). Press "Nab" or "Download" to download the video from the video website. Once the video has downloaded, download links display on the screen.
  
  
• 5). Click either of the download links provided to download the video as either MP4 or FLV. It doesn't matter which file type you choose. Both can be converted to MP3.
  
  

Convert the Video to MP3

• 1). Open a video converter in your Web browser. Online applications that can convert a downloaded Internet video to MP3 include Media Converter and Zamzar (see Resources for links).
  
  
• 2). Click the "Upload a File" or "Browse" button to upload the Internet video file you downloaded earlier. Browse for the file and double-click to add it to the conversion system.
  
  
• 3). Click the arrow in the "Output format" or "Convert to" section. Choose "MP3" as the output file type.
  
  
• 4). Enter your email address on Zamzar. The conversion process cannot be completed without an address.
  
  
• 5). Click "OK" or "Convert" in the program to convert the Internet video to MP3. On Media Converter, a download link is provided on the screen when the conversion is complete. The Zamzar system sends the MP3 file directly to the email address your entered.
