How to Do a 360 Hardflip

    • 1). Practice performing an ollie until you have it down perfectly. The ollie is the backbone for most all other skateboarding tricks. The first movement of the hardflip is the same as the ollie, so if you do not know how to ollie it will be almost impossible to hardflip. The ollie is done by placing your right foot on the back of the board and your left foot in the center of the board. Slam down your back foot and slightly raise your front foot so that the skateboard becomes airborne. Slide your front foot forward to level out the board in midair so all four trucks are off of the ground, then land with both feet on the board.

    • 2). Position your feet to perform a 360 hardflip after you have mastered the ollie. Place your right foot on the back of the board. Place your left foot on the left edge of the skateboard directly in the center or the board, and turn your left foot so it is positioned vertically instead of horizontally.

    • 3). Begin the first movement for the trick by slamming your right foot down on the back of the board while slightly raising your front foot, just like during an ollie.

    • 4). Kick your left foot forward and to the left so that your toe flicks the left edge of the concave at the front of your skateboard. The concaves are the two spots where the front and back tips of the board raise up -- flicking this spot will make the board flip. While you kick your left foot forward, you have to simultaneously kick your right foot back and off of the right edge of the board. This will make the board spin -and- flip. Steps 3 and 4 should be performed in one fluid motion.

    • 5). Allow the board to spin and rotate 360 degrees until you can see the top of the grip tape again. The board will be flipping between your two legs, so make sure you have raised them enough so the board has enough room to rotate. Land with both feet on the board cleanly by trying to center your weight between your two feet.
