How to Design Paisley Wedding Invitations

Install the Adobe Photoshop program onto your computer. You can buy the full version of Photoshop at any computer software store, or you can download a free limited version at Soft32, which will allow you to use all of the tools necessary to create custom paisley wedding invitations. On the Soft32 website, click on the link entitled "Download Photoshop" to begin the program download. - 2
Create a new design file in Photoshop. Click on the "File" tab at the top of the screen. Click on "New." A new window will appear that will ask you to fill in the dimensions of your new image. For wedding invitations, type in 5 inches for the width, and 7 inches for the height. You will need to change the resolution to 300 DPI or higher. This will make the image sharper. When you are finished editing the dimensions of the image, click on the "OK" button. - 3
Paste a paisley design for the background of the image. Go to a stock photography website, such as Fotosearch. You can search and locate free stock photography of paisley designs to use for your invitation background. To copy the image, right click on the paisley image and select "Copy Image." Go back to your Photoshop image, and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the screen and select "Paste." The stock image will appear inside your Photoshop image. You can resize the stock image by clicking on the "Edit" button, and selecting "Transform," and then "Scale." The stock image will have an adjustable box surrounding it. Stretch the image to fit the Photoshop image and click "Apply." - 4
Add text to your wedding invitations. Click on the "Text" tool, which looks like a capital "T." Click and drag a box onto your image where you want the text to go. Click inside the box and begin typing the wedding information, including the date, time and location. Change the look of the text by using the text adjustment tools at the top of the screen. - 5
Save the image file by clicking the "File" tab and selecting "Save As" from the list. A new window will pop up allowing you to name and select the file type. Name the file and save it in JPEG format. - 6
Upload your wedding invitation image onto the CafePress website. You will need to register for a free account. You can do this from the main page of the website. Once the registration is complete, click on the "My Shops" button on the left side of the screen. Then click on the "Manage Sections and Products" link. Upload your image file using the CafePress uploader and select the items you would like to place your image on, such as the wedding invitations. You can order your paisley wedding invitations inside your "My Shops" page.
