How to Clean Tomato Stains on Plastic
- 1). Mix baking soda and water into a thick paste. Apply the paste to the stained area with a clean cloth and allow it to dry. Wipe the paste away with a clean, damp cloth and rinse the area well with clean water.
- 2). Slice a lemon in half and rub it all along the stained area. Set the item outside in the sunshine for two to three hours.
- 3). Apply yellow mustard to a paper towel and rub it all along the tomato stain, making sure to completely cover it. Allow the mustard to sit on the stain overnight and wash it away with warm, soapy water In the morning.
- 4). Mix equal parts baking soda and table salt. Dip a clean damp cloth or sponge into the salt and baking soda and scrub the stained area with it. Rinse the area well with clean water.
- 5). Pour enough chlorine bleach into the container to cover the stain and leave it overnight. In the morning, wash the container with warm, soapy water and rinse well.
