How to Calculate Image Frequency

104 5
    • 1). Convert the intermediary frequency to kilohertz. If a receiver has an intermediary frequency of 0.5 megahertz: 0.55 * 1,000 = 550 kHz

    • 2). Multiply your answer by 2. So in our example, 550 * 2 = 1,100 kHz

    • 3). Subtract your answer from the station frequency. If the station frequency is 1600 kHz: 1,600 - 1,100 = 500 kHz
