How to Install Office 2007 & 2003 on the Same PC
- 1). Place your Office 2003 installation disc in your PC's CD-ROM. If AutoRun is enabled on your PC, the Office 2003 installation process will begin automatically. If AutorRun is not enabled, go to your CD-ROM drive on your PC, then double-click on the Setup.exe file to run the installation.
- 2). A dialog box opens asking you to enter your product key; enter your 25-digit Office 2003 key, which can be found on a sticker on your installation CD case, then select "Next."
- 3). Enter your name, initials and organization name in the "User Name," "Initials" and "Organization" fields, respectively, then select "Next."
- 4). Read and agree to the EULA (End User License Agreement) by selecting the "I accept the terms in the license agreement" box located under the agreement, then select "Next."
- 5). Choose your installation type, then select "Next." If you would like to install every Office 2003 program, select the "Complete Install" option. If you would like to choose a specific number of Office 2003 programs, select "Custom Install."
- 6). Select "Install," then wait as Office 2003 installs on your PC.
- 1). Insert your Office 2007 installation CD in your PC, then wait for the installation wizard to begin automatically. If the installation wizard does not begin automatically, go to your CD-ROM drive, and double-click on the Setup.exe file to run the installation wizard (preliminary procedures are similar to Section 1, Steps 2-4 above). A dialog box opens asking you to choose your installation type.
- 2). Click on the "Customize" button. Do not select the "Upgrade" button, as selecting this button will erase Office 2003 on your PC. You are redirected to another dialog box asking you to choose how you would like Office 2007 installed on your PC.
- 3). Select the "Keep all previous versions" option, then click on the "Install Now" button. If you would like to install only a few Office 2007 programs, click on the "Installation Options" tab before clicking on the "Install Now" button, then select the programs you would like to install by choosing the "Run all from my computer" option under each program. Select the "Not Available" option under the Office 2007 programs you do not want to install on your PC.
- 4). Wait as Office 2007 installs on your PC. Once the installation process is complete, you can start using both the Office 2003 and Office 2007 suites on your PC.
